Care UK aims high with Wycombe development plans

Care UK has lodged plans with Buckinghamshire Council for an 84-bed care home at Marlow Hill in High Wycombe.

The developer wants to build a three-storey scheme with 15 beds at ground floor level, 28 beds on the first floor, 28 beds on the second floor and 13 on the third floor.

All bedrooms would have ensuite bathrooms with wheel in, flush floor shower facilities and WC pans that can be used for independent access where appropriate.

The care home would feature 24-hour on site nursing. Ground floor communal facilities include hairdresser, café, cinema and gym with additional facilities, for those less mobile, on every floor including lounges, dining rooms and day rooms.

The proposed site of approximately 0.77 hectares located on Marlow Hill around half a mile from High Wycombe town centre.

If approved, Care UK would demolish four large detached homes at Marlow Hill.

Care UK provides care and support services to over 7,000 older people in 100 plus nursing and care homes nationwide.
