As with many industries and organisations, the coronavirus has had a significant impact on the health and social care sector, which is likely to last for years to come.
Prior to the coronavirus, research analysts IBISWorld reported an expected growth of 1.8 per cent for the next five years for this sector, however, it remains to be seen how the current pandemic will impact on these findings long term.
Much emphasis has been placed on the industry in recent months, with The Health Foundation identifying the need for investment in this industry through staffing, and with investment in staffing comes the need to invest in training.
