A Paisley care home is aiming to hit the high notes by inviting members of the local community to join residents and staff for the inaugural ‘Braemount’s Got Talent’.
Bupa’s Braemount Care Home, on Donaldswood Road, is encouraging residents, staff and members of the local community to come along on Friday 13 May from 2pm and join in an afternoon of light hearted entertainment.
Taking inspiration also from the Eurovision Song Contest, the afternoon will have a European theme with decorations throughout the home. But it won’t be an afternoon of just singing as Braemount welcomes all talents - no matter how little or obscure.
Sitting in for Cowell and co, the judges will be Mhairi Black, Rebecca Gallagher, home manager and Alice Hutchinson, resident experience manager.
Fiona Glenn, activities co-ordinator at Bupa’s Braemount Care Home, says: “The residents always enjoy some friendly competition and can’t wait to show off their hidden talents
“Events like these really help our residents socialise and they love a sing along as well.”
Acts such as Nethercraig Unit’s Abba tribute band have already been confirmed, and local children from Nursery Times will be attending on the day to treat the audience to a bit of singing .
Fiona adds: “We are hoping members of the local community come along as well and take part. We always like to invite everyone along to our events to ensure our residents remain connected to the community.
“Lots of competition will be on show and I know that the judges will have a hard time picking a winner.”
